You’ve trick-or-treated door to door, in the mall and maybe — at Queen Creek’s Trunk or Treat — from car trunk to car trunk. But chances are, you or your children haven’t yet collected candy from the baskets of hot air balloons.

About 30 glowing balloons will light the sky and serve as trick-or-treat stations Friday and Saturday at the first Salt River Fields Balloon Spooktacular.

The event, presented by Sanderson Ford, Lincoln and Volvo, features music from radio station KMLE Country 108 FM, a kids’ activity zone, a skydiving show from the Arizona Skyhawks, and food and beverage vendors. There’s also a haunted house, a “Haunted Trail” presented by the Voices of Saguaro High School Choir, and costume contests for children, adults and couples.
