“Dark Shadows,” the Tim Burton film starring Johnny Depp as an 18th-century vampire released from his tomb into 1970s America, opens Friday in theaters, but you can see a memento from the film sooner in Phoenix.

A costume worn in the movie by local rock star Alice Cooper (he has a cameo in the film) is on display at Musical Instrument Museum. The costume is an exact replica of a stage suit Cooper wore in the late ‘70s; it was made for the “Dark Shadows” movie.

Musical Instrument Museum is at 4725 E. Mayo Blvd. in Phoenix. Admission is $10-$15 per person. For information, call (480) 478-6000 or visit www.theMIM.org.
