If episodes of "Project Runway" and "The Rachel Zoe Project" have you daydreaming of a more fashionable life, take heart. You can dress to the nines and attend an elaborately produced runway show just over at Talking Stick Resort.

Phoenix Fashion Week kicks off with a breast cancer benefit Wednesday at the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix, but the bulk of activities - including 10-12 runway shows per night - will take place at the newly completed Talking Stick, just off the Loop 101 near the East Valley.

The four-day sartorial soiree, now in its seventh year, will showcase holiday 2011 and spring 2012 collections with 35 designer runway shows. There's also a nightly "Style Villa" Shopping Market and trunk shows.

With the resort's 11 on-site restaurants and lounges, it's the makings of a fashion-forward girls' night out.

DETAILS >> Doors open to the public 5:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. Talking Stick Resort, 9800 E. Indian Bend Road, Scottsdale. Tickets, available online, are $25-$60 per person. The Fashionably Pink Celebrity Runway, taking place 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday at Musical Instrument Museum, 4725 E. Mayo Blvd. in Phoenix is $40 per person. www.phoenixfashionweek.com.
