Ticket buyers get a break from service fees

Buy your concert tickets on Wednesday, and you could save a decent chunk of change.

Entertainment broker Live Nation is offering $24.99 lawn tickets to a variety of concerts through a promotion called "No Service Fee Wednesday." It kicks off 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, at LiveNation.com.

Under the deal, fans can purchase lawn seats without paying annoying - and costly - service fees for the following shows at Cricket Wireless Pavilion:

Warped Tour (June 30)

Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival featuring Marilyn Manson & Slayer (July 17)

Aerosmith with ZZ Top (July 27)

Toby Keith with Trace Adkins (August 14)

Def Leppard with Poison and Cheap Trick (Aug. 29)

Brad Paisley with Dierks Bentley & Jimmy Wayne (Oct. 1)

"I read the blogs and e-mails listening to what concert fans are saying. They've been really clear, they want a break on ticket prices in these tough economic times," said Michael Rapino, the company's CEO, in a statement.

A new "No Service Fee Wednesday" deal is announced each Monday at LiveNation.com. Promotions are good for 24 hours each Wednesday.
