You may recognize these guys from the closing ceremonies of the 2010 Winter Olympics. They’re ScrapArtsMusic, the Vancouver-based ensemble that mixes music, muscle and a little “green” philosophy. Known for adrenaline-laced percussion, athletic choreography and recycled instruments fashioned from industrial scraps and offbeat materials (think artillery shells), the group gives a highly physical, theatrical show rooted in street performance, jazz and world music traditions.

>> See ScrapArtsMusic in concert at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, 7380 E. Second St. $24-$29. (480) 994-2787 or scottsdaleperformingarts.org.
