CREATURE FEATURE

Payton is a special friend.

More pets to adopt

He’s a large, mixed-breed dog about 5 years old. He is a "cuddle bug" who needs to be the only animal in the home. Payton has recovered from allergies and receives supplements to keep them at bay. He also has degenerative eye disease.

Payton has been going blind since birth, and most of his vision is now gone. Once he knows his surroundings, however, he’s a very happy canine.

Friends for Life has had great success placing blind animals in new homes. Payton is house-trained and knows some obedience training. He has been waiting a long time for a family to love him.

Find him at Friends for Life Animal Sanctuary, 143 W. Vaughn Ave., Gilbert. Hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
