The Orpheus Male Chorus of Phoenix, Arizona’s longest continually performing choral organization, opens its 84th season by presenting “Holidays with Orpheus".

This year’s “Holidays with Orpheus” concert will feature traditional pieces such as Angels We Have Heard on High, Carol of the Bells and Sleigh Ride, as well as a set of Three Hanukkah Songs and thoughtful works from modern composers.  In addition, Orpheus is delighted to have ASU faculty member Carole FitzPatrick (soprano) joining us for this concert series.  Before moving to Arizona, Ms. FitzPatrick sang in opera houses in Germany and throughout Europe for more than 16 years.

Founded in November of 1929, the Orpheus Male Chorus of Phoenix’s debut performance was on Christmas morning 1929 on KTAR-AM. Since its inception, Orpheus has performed in venues large and small throughout the Valley and the nation as well as in Canada, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, and throughout Europe.  Orpheus has created numerous recordings both on vinyl and on digital media.
