Phoenix homeowners are doing much better in making their mortgage payments.
The reporting agency TransUnion says payment delinquencies dipped in the April to June period.
As of midyear, 12.3 percent of Phoenix-area homeowners were 60 days or more late on payments, down from 12.71 percent in the first quarter.
The numbers show those who remained in their homes and avoided foreclosure are doing a better job saving money, spending less and managing payments.
The TransUnion mortgage study was based on a sampling of thousands of credit reports.
