I’m two days delayed in submitting this due to the too often inconsistent service by our ‘high-speed’ Internet provider, CenturyLink.

Day after day the viewing public is inundated with Internet service commercials from CenturyLink on how far advanced they are from “the other guys” and hocking the new “Prism” system, bologna. I, for one, am fed up, I pay top dollar for apparent high-speed DSL service which is proving itself to be slower than molasses, when it works.

The Net is down more than it’s up and between noon — 2 p.m. and 9 p.m. — midnight, it’s off and on like a light switch. I have to be cautious when I plan projects.

If one is fortunate, they may get a service rep. whom they may understand, but that’s on a lucky day. They’ll try to sell you tech-repair service call which can be costly.

I don‘t require a serviceman, I just require them to keep their end of the bargain and provide me with the service for which I’m paying “high-dollar.”
