The African Children’s Choir, a nonprofit humanitarian and relief organization dedicated to helping Africa’s children, will perform African songs and dances alongside the Chandler Children’s Choir on March 21.

The program features children’s songs, as well as traditional spiritual and gospel favorites. Ticket revenues support Children’s Choir programs, such as education, care and relief and development programs.

Music for Life, which focuses in education and creating new leadership for Africa, works in seven African countries including Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Sudan, Nigeria, Ghana, and South Africa. It has educated more than 52,000 children and impacted the lives of more than 100,000 people through their relief and development programs.

The African Children’s Choir has performed before presidents and most recently the Queen of England, Queen Elizabeth II, for her diamond jubilee. The Choir has also performed alongside artists including Paul McCartney, Annie Lennox, Keith Urban and Mariah Carey.

The concert begins at 7 p.m. at Tri-Baptist Church, located at 2211 W. Germann Road in Chandler. For more information, visit http://chandlerchildrenschoir.org/performances.html.
