    Problem is that money comes from more than one source. Campaign contributions and salaries. Ever wonder why justices of the peace in Maricopa and Pima Counties who are not lawyers run for office? Try attending a session and see who's really in charge.

    Dale, your comment was interesting. It would make an interesting article if the Tribune would publish it.

    To the survey - every four years our legislators ask for more money. Every four years the people say NO! I say no, because I think they do a lousy job. Yet, every four years the same legislators run for office again and are re-elected again.

    Full time job, and full time money means full time politician. There is more chance that their motivation is for career advancement, not the good of the people.

    They do only what the they want not what the public wants. They are not responsive to the electorate. Why should we pay them more to NOT do the job they were elected to.
