I love holier-than-thou people like DrJCA1, who turn their nose down at the riff-raff and their entertainment choices. I am sure that DrJ is so much better than me because I enjoy sports, among other things.
I am also sure that DrJ is a bigot and a racist, since he/she called athletes monkeys, knowing that the majority of professional athletes are African Americans.
But it's okay that DrJ is a racist because he/she is better than the rest of us and what we think/like does not matter in his/her world.

I'm staying home to re-read "Rules for Radicals" by your mentor, Dale, Saul Alinsky.

Finally after 67 voters chime in we have 2 who are hosting and 4 who are going to Super Bowl parties.

Dr. JCA1, It would appear that you are in good company. You and 37 others, the vast majority are pretending it's not Super Bowl Sunday!

I cannot imagine why anyone watches 22 big, fat guys throw a ball around, run up and down a field, and then jump on one guy with the ball. I find sports to be boring, at best, and idiotic at worst. Overpaid monkeys entertaining other monkeys.

Humm, lets take a look at the numbers responding.

10 of us are staying home to watch the game on our own TV's. At a close second place [and in football, there is no second place] 9 of us are doing something else entirely unrelated to football- gardening would be my guess. Only 3 are going to a Superbowl party. But judging from the absence of respondents who are hosting parties, it would appear that these parties must all be at sports bars, the one response our editors omitted!

Way to go, editors. It would appear that you've done it again, and again, and again!
