My name is Michael Corey Chan, and I'm a candidate for Justice of the Peace in the San Marcos Justice Precinct. The San Marcos Justice Precinct; covers most of Chandler, and Sun Lakes. I have over 15 years of combined criminal justice experience with service at one of the top ten busiest city courts in the United States; at Superior Court; in corrections working with juveniles; and as a volunteer for Chandler/Phoenix Police. In addition, I have served in various management capacities for Fortune 500 companies in hospitality, banking and telecommunications. I'm fluent in English, Spanish and Chinese.

This office presents many opportunities for someone with my diverse background to serve our community by providing meaningful assistance to victims of crime often neglected by our justice system, and ensuring that offenders are properly sentenced given tools to prevent recidivism. In addition, I will engage our youth through teen court addressing bullying/drug prevention, and educational programs to help residents better understand our legal system. I will also explore ways to enhance access to court services via the internet and hours of operation to evenings/weekends.

If given the privilege to serve you, I pledge to ensure that everyone is treated with respect and decency. I will take this responsibility seriously and professionally, attempting to resolve every case in a just and impartial manner. I'm not a career politician, have no affiliations with city council or any other government official. You will be electing a 100% independent judge that will only apply the law. I look forward to the opportunity of serving you and our community as Justice of the Peace. For more information about me, please visit www.michaelcoreychan.com. Thank you.
