My name is Steve Smith and I am running to serve as your next State Senator in District 23. I am a strong Christian, pro-life, conservative who stands for defending GOD, FAMILY, and COUNTRY. I come from a family of small business owners, teachers, medical professionals, and military personnel, and as a former business owner myself, I understand how to lead people and manage budgets. As a member of the NRA, I am an ardent supporter of the second amendment and limited government.
I am proud to have the endorsements of leaders like State Senator Russell Pearce (author of SB 1070) and Sheriff Joe Arpaio. They share my position that we must solve our illegal immigration problem and finally secure our border.
If elected, my primary goal would be to stop all state funding of illegal aliens. This single piece of legislation would essentially correct Arizona's skyrocketing budget deficit WITHOUT a tax increase or layoffs of state employees. This, along with reducing taxes and regulations on individuals and businesses, will restore our economy and create jobs.
Additionally, we need to solve our problems in education. Approximately $9,000 is allocated to each student in Arizona but only about $3,000 of those dollars actually go into the classroom (teacher's salaries, etc.) Clearly there is a tremendous amount of overhead that needs to be eliminated and had this been done already, there would have been no need for Prop 100.
Other issues facing the state is our high taxes and regulations on both individuals and businesses (we need to lower both) and energy concerns (I believe we need to rely more on nuclear power and I also believe Arizona should be the leaders in the world in solar technology).
We need to stop electing career politicians who care more about their campaigning than about the people! Arizona deserves a true patriot who is willing to fight for its ideals, its constitution, and its citizens, and that is me. Please visit my website for more information at: www.electstevesmith.com.
Thank you and I ask for your vote and support.

Do you think Arizona has any blame in the death of the ICE agent who was murdered in Mexico?
Do you think Arizona's new anti-immigrant laws and proposed laws are causing problems between the citizens of Mexico and of the United States?
Does Arizona or its new policies share in any of the blame for the home invasion, attack, and murder of a father, and the murder of his young daughter, and wounding of the child's mother, by ex-minutemen dressed as police officers?
Will any of the politicians whose policies have encouraged minutemen activities attend the funeral of the murdered child?
If more Americans are killed in Mexico, does Arizona feel no responsibility?
If citizens of Arizona are targeted in Mexico, will the politicians of Arizona attend their funerals?
If the drug cartels begin targeting citizens of Arizona in Mexico and blame the assaults or murders of Arizonians as retaliation for the ongoing Arizona policies, will the politicians who encouraged these policies attend any funerals of any Arizonians who are murdered or make hospital visits to any Arizonians who are injured?
Will Arizona politicians attend the funeral for the ambushed ICE agent who was murdered?
Will Arizona politicians visit the wounded ICE agent?
Do you believe Arizonians are causing a loss of respect for Americans abroad?
Do the politicians who encourage anti-immigrant sentiments feel responsible for any Americans who are attacked while in other countries?
