Yea, I think the teenagers should pick lettus in Yuma. Most teenagers I know don't get out of bed until noon. Since you lived here all your life I guess you would know. OH yea, when the republican's kick all the illegals out of Arizona, who's going to help all the businesses that go out of business because no customers. Who's going to help the investors that can't rent their house because of no renters and are foreclosted. I guess that will not hurt the U. S. Citizens. But, you don't care, just as long as they go.

'Big Picture', SB1070 will have a POSITIVE impact on US citizens and the reasons for this are too many to list here. A few examples would be:
Our benefit programs won't be as gutted by illegal immigrants.
More jobs available to US citizens -- and let's forget about the BS about "no gringo would condescend to do those jobs", because it's a false claim. When I was growing up (yep, I'm a native) it was us who worked in the pecan orchards, de-tassled corn etc and in most cases we were pretty eager because these were our very first jobs.
How does it make some of you illegal immigrants feel to know you could be easily replaced by teenagers, hhmm? }:-) In this economy though, there are many others out there who would be eager to do the work just to have some level of income. Ensuring that LEGAL citizens get the jobs is only right.
As a final example, another positive impact would be a reduction in the 'entitlement' attitude we've been having to put up with from non-legal residents. It's so galling when people who have no legal right to even be here stamp their feet, shake their fists and burn our country's flag, DEMANDING things in our country be THEIR way and claiming they have a 'right' to be "entitled" to OUR rights without having earned or been otherwise deserving of them. THAT is what so many of us so-called 'rascist' people dislike -- it's not the nationality, country of origin, color or culture; it's the attitude, behavior and (illegal) actions.

Let's see: not too many jobs around, the housing market has yet to rebound, tourism is down, school budgets are cut, and monies being sought by school districts are being voted down. What was the question; do we have to worry about a negative impact of world-wide publicity on our state, or is everything going to be fine? We could either delve into a long discussion and form a panel to study it, or look at the facts, then make a judgement based on common sense. That is, during tough economic times one should not bite the hand that feeds them, unless one is willing to shut up and face the consequences (standing on their principles).
