The Arizona Green Party is asking a judge to kick 11 Green candidates from the November ballot because they were allegedly recruited by Republican officials to siphon votes from Democrats.
The Green Party filed the lawsuit in federal court on Monday asking for an immediate hearing on their request.
The lawsuit follows an Aug. 30 complaint by the Arizona Democratic Party alleging the candidates were newly registered voters or changed their registration to Green for the sole purpose of getting support from liberals who would probably vote for Democrats if there wasn't a Green Party option.
The candidates used a previously little-known provision in state law allowing Green Party candidates to qualify for the November ballot by getting just one write-in vote in the primary.

This really annoys me. If anyone in the upper echelons of their districts Republican party are listening please take note. This is the quickest way to turn off independent voters.

Play fair. If you're that low you have to cheat you don't deserve to be in office. That shows you have no morals.

This is what happens when you enshrine partisan politics in state law. AZ Constitution Article 7 section 10 ought to be repealed, and ARS title 16 chapter 3 needs to be rewritten.
