James Molina says he is withdrawing from the GOP for the District 19 state Senate seat.

Molina's statement on his website leaves Republican Rich Crandall as the sole name on the ballot. Mesa resident Crandall is currently a member of the state House of Representatives.

The Secretary of State website also lists Libertarian William Munsil as a write-in candidate.

Molina cites "the demands of a growing business and other demands on my time have made it clear that I would not have been able to perform my duties as a State Senator."

Thanks you for spelling my name right :)

I AM a write in candidate and will need SEVEN Libertarians to write my name in on the Libertarian ballot before I can run in the general election.

Libertarians - and interested others - can email me at wmunsil "at" cox.net .

So much for a stealth candidacy :)
