RIO RICO - Border Patrol agents say they found 27 illegal immigrants in a Rio Rico house being used as a smuggler's way station.

The discovery Tuesday night came after agents received tips of suspicious activity in a neighborhood and followed clues to the house.

Agent Mike Scioli says all the people inside were illegal immigrants. Three face prosecution as human smugglers and the rest face deportation or voluntary removal proceedings. Five vehicles believed used in a human smuggling operation were seized.

Rio Rico is about 10 miles north of the border town of Nogales.
