MR666,
Knowing what you know now, and knowing that Arizona's immigration law is NOT a "mirror" of federal immigration law with so many new provisions incorporated into SB 1070, do you endorse the proposition of each state creating its own immigration laws which will naturally vary from state to state?

"someone's immigration status if the subject were white or black.: -- Excuse me, but even those persons that are "white" or "black" can be ILLEGAL ALIENS. How about something simple like, if ANY person can produce Proper ID, than that person should be considered a possible ILLEGAL ALIEN, and should have their legal status checked. Again, it's not about race, but LEGAL standing. Granted, most ILLEGAL ALIENS are of Hispanic/Latino ancestry, but I want ALL ILLEGAL ALIENS out of the USA..

I guess some people have never heard of the Law of Averages. It's been estimated that over 80% of ILLEGAL ALIENS are of Hispanic or Latino ancestry. Logic dictates that those that are caught will be of that nationality.
As long as every person encountered, race notwithstanding, that doesn't have proper ID gets treated as a possible ILLEGAL ALIEN, than that's a fair as it can be. Yes, there are those that are Canadian, Asian, et al. Send ALL of them packing...

Traitors? Those "bosses" understand the ramifications of 1070 probably better than 90% of the yahoos cheering for it. See, it is called an "unfunded" mandate; it takes no brains for the Leg. to ennact any law they wish. Just as Congress does, they fail to allocate any funding to enable those tasked with the law to properly enforce it. Police departments are strapped for cash and understaffed, not even keeping up with the crime thay have now and you truly, really believe the chiefs are going to tell their cops to go arrest illegals?
All you'll see is a few cops who already dislike Hispanics chasing after a few. The real cops will continue to concentrate on real criminals and wait for this law to be rescinded by federal courts as unconstitutional.
