Gov. Jan Brewer says she’s leery of post-election talk about a possible compromise on illegal immigration that’d include securing the border and providing legal status to immigrants in the country illegally.
Brewer says in statement issued Friday that she recalls the 1986 compromise that provided legal status to millions while making unkept promises to secure the border.
Brewer says the first step now still needs to be securing the border.
She says once that’s done, the next step can be to jointly pursue ways to fix what she calls the “broken immigration system.” She says that could be done in a way that’s effective, practical and humane.
Brewer didn’t specifically refer to any individual’s statements, but U.S. House Speaker John Boehner earlier Friday said it’s time to change U.S. immigration policies.
Boehner called on President Barack Obama to take the lead in coming up with a plan to address the estimated 11 million people living in the country illegally.

Governor Brewer, you have your work cut out for you. Both the Elected US Senator, John "Keating Five" McCain, and newly Elected US Senator, Jeff "S.T.R.I.V.E...A.C.T." Flake will be voting against the sentiment of their Arizona Constituents, and bring about a watered down "Utah Compact" that has the "blessing" of the Mormon Church and the R.I.N.O. Leaders of the House and Senate. It will all be going to the Supreme Court anyhow which will become the most Liberal Supreme Court that America has ever experienced.....making the Warren Court look like Court of the Nuremburg War Crime Trials.

Just once, I'd like Brewer to define "secure the border" -- without some idea of what she means by that, how do we move on?
Also, I see she's jumped on the Hannity Bandwagon, Sean Hannity now calling for citizenship for those illegal immigrants already here.

Even if the LEGAL IMMIGRATION program increases the number a people allowed to cross, there will ALWAYS be more that want to work, but no position "job" would be available. Unless it's because some business practice unfair labor practices.
I'm actually shocked that Union workers would vote for a President that wants to grant jobs/amnesty to CRIMINAL FOREIGN NATIONALS.

Securing the border is only an idle pipe dream without tougher interior enforcement. While E-Verify will help, we need to link the DHS, IRS, SSA and law enforcement data bases to deny the illegals jobs and social services. I think we all know our Commander in Chief is not going to allow that.

We will never have secure borders as long as democrats are in power. They need a constant flow of uneducated government dependant voters, a permenant under class that they can take care of , like a pet.
We need to put the military on the border, deport as many as possibly, fine the rest, make them citizens but not allow them to vote. And not give anyone that comes into this country government welfare.

Over Five Thousand Legal Hispanic Citizen Children are now in U.S. Foster care with their Parents Deportd.
Over Thirteen Thousand non-criminal un-documented Immigrants have been Incarcerated by I.C.E. for years with out even charges.
Over One Hundred non-criminal un-documented Immigrants have Died in I.C.E. Custody.
Over Forty-two Thousand Deported un-documented Immigrants now lay Dead at the Harsh U.S. Mexico Border where I.C.E. has Deported/Dumped Hundreds of Thousands of un-documented Immigrants into Limbo, and a "known Drug War" with nothing, not even water to be Killed, or to Die of the Harsh Elements.
This must STOP!
