Westminster College has selected two key staff members as it works toward opening a downtown Mesa campus next year.
The private undergraduate liberal arts college named Hillarie Brooke Price its enrolment director, and Bob Seelinger its new campus dean.
Seelinger comes from the college’s original location in Fulton, Mo. He is a professor of classics who has been with the college since 1979 and has held several administrative roles including vice president.
Price is a Gilbert resident who was most recently an elementary school teacher at Benjamin Franklin Charter School in Queen Creek. Also, she has been an enrollment manager, counselor and faculty member for the University of Phoenix. She has worked as a real estate appraiser, production assistant for a television cable program and for an educational consulting firm.
Westminster is one of four colleges Mesa has recruited to its downtown. It plans to begin offering classes in the fall of 2013 at the city-owned Mesa Center for Higher Education at 245 W. Second St., along with Wilkes University and Albright College. Also, Benedictine University plans to open a branch at 225 E. Main St. in 2013.
Westminster will offer major programs in international business, environmental studies and transnational studies. Additional programs in pre-med and pre-law will be offered as well.
