TUCSON - Four college students prompted a neighborhood evacuation after they left a rental truck filled with rotting fish, cow parts and pig organs in a Tucson neighborhood, police said.

The University of Arizona students had rented the truck and collected the smelly cargo intending to dump it on someone’s front lawn as a prank, police said.

Neighbors complaining about a foul odor coming from the truck called police Thursday and officers found the truck packed with 10 city trash cans. Also in the truck were bottles of ammonia and bleach, which prompted the brief evacuation.

The students were released after questioning, but may later face charges, police said.
