I find it curious that some lawmakers wanted some of the phrases removed from the memorial.
And how much funding for the memorial came from the State? Answer...zero, which is just as much as they paid for the three new flag poles in front of the Capital as well as all the other memorials which pay homage to our Veterans...zero funding.
Perhaps they, as an invested interest, would have more of a "say" when they start to put up the funding.
It's called, "Put your money where your mouth is".
