    Mike,
You are just ........."preaching to the choir" ...when you talk about working and "earning" a living for yourself and your family. Republicans grew up with this ethic.

Democrats grew up in a "Unionized, Cosl-of-Living increase every year whether deserved or not, time-and-a half, double-time, triple-time, 4-5-6-7 weeks of vacation per seniority, 14 paid sick-days whether you were sick or not, 11 holidays and strikes up the patootie by everyone for anything.......work ethic.
If these Democrats couldn't find a job starting at $18 buck an hour the they would just go back on Un-Employment and work on their tan or backswing. Whole generations of Puerto Ricans have subsisted on New York City's huge Welfare pay-outs...generation after generation after generation. And they aren't the only Ethnic/Racial groups involved....just look at Chicago, Atlanta, Miami and Detroit.

Mike, it wasn't until this Depression/Recession that Republicans were forced onto the Un-Employment and Welfare Rolls. Go to any Job Fare and the Men and Women who are dressed in suits and other business attire and 99.9999% will be Republicans.

Talking about a "work ethic" to Democrats is "casting pearls before swine"...as the Good Book says.

And the Republicans grew up in prep school, assured that they would have a high paying, do nothing job that allowed them plenty of time to work on tans and back swings.
Off shore tax shelters and accountants assure them that they will never have to come into contact with the unwashed masses, and never suffer the humiliation of standing in line looking for a job.
If you think that Republicans understand Labor Day, you're stoned. They look at it as day lost to padding the bottom line. Health insurance, who needs it? Let 'em eat
    cake.
Your remark about work ethic and Democrats is a sure indication that you have led a sheltered life.
