SIERRA VISTA - A Sierra Vista man is accused of lacing a drink he purchased for his ex-girlfriend at a movie theater snack bar with bleach.
Sierra Vista police were called Monday afternoon to the movie theater at the Mall at Sierra Vista after a moviegoer became sick after consuming a beverage.
Police say employees located the drink cup and smelled a distinct odor of bleach in the cup.
The woman was treated at a hospital for burning and blistering in her throat and then released.
An investigation led to police arresting 20-year-old Shawn Ryan Kellerman Tuesday for investigation of aggravated assault.
Kellerman is accused of taking his ex-girlfriend to the movie, purchasing the drink for her and pouring bleach into it.
