TUCSON - A Tucson couple are being held after the death of their infant daughter.
Tucson police responded to a check welfare call at a residence Saturday.
Officers learned that Tucson Fire Department paramedics had pronounced six-week-old Kimberly Sullivan dead at the scene.
Detectives then investigated the circumstances surrounding the little girl's death.
Detectives discovered the child was severely malnourished and emaciated. Police arrested the parents, 26-year-old Terri L. Sullivan and 27-year-old Scott D. Sullivan.
Both were booked into the Pima County Jail and are charged with one count each of child abuse.
