Another one of Obummer's messes. Had this been an issue of stolen basketballs entering Mexico illegally, he would have been all over it!
2012 just can't come quick enough.

Obummer allowed those guns to be walked across the border in an attempt to create numbers proving gun violence in Mexico was a direct result of liberal gun laws here in Arizona. Unfortunately for the slain border agent, Obummers plan backfired.

Yet another failure by the Feds to protect US citizens....

I guess this is the only thing that is dangerous for the ATF to do. Just who are the higher ups who okd this. The media types keep talking about the higher ups who okd the policy. But don't seem to name any of them.

This sort of scandal never starts at the bottom. I wouldn't be surprised to learn Holder or even the Obummer himself authorized it.

Why is it okay to buy 40 assault rifles in one day, declare them for personal use, then walk away without anyone anywhere marking the transaction into a record or database somewhere? There's plenty of blame to go around on this one, and yes, Arizona's lax gun laws needs to also share in the it. How can tracking such a transaction possibly threaten second amendment rights? Does anyone believe there are benign motives behind the need for 40 assault rifles in a single day?

Funny how the media is already skewing the actual story.
While SOME of the guns were purchased through gun shops (who were forced to participate by ATF), many of the weapons that have been recovered are MILITARY GRADE weapons...weapons that you, I, or a civilian gun shop do NOT have access to.
These weapons came from a U.S. military weapons depot.
Someone needs to hang for this. And before someone calls me "crazy", hanging is still on the books as an acceptable punishment for treason. (and if supplying terrorists with military grade assault weapons isn't treason, I don't know what is).

Haddie - please explain how "lax" gun laws caused the ATF to supply military assault weapons to terrorists. I'm genuinely curious to hear your answer!

RationalHuman - please show us your evidence that the ATF supplied military assault weapons to terrorists. I'm genuinely curious to see it.

Well come on RationalHuman, we all want to know about these military assault weapons our government is giving to terrorists. Not saying it can't happen, just want to see some proof.

Perhaps Napolitano's recent visit to Tucson is all part of the federal government's Fast and Furious II plan (unlike the ATF gun running fiasco).
This new Fast and Furious II plan is when federal folks quickly fly in and announce (with another press conference and photo op) another "feel-good b.s. anouncement" about border security (the fast part) and then ignore the actual problems along the border by not building a real fence (which leaves the vast majority of Arizona folks furious with their federal government's in-actions, including our governor).
Yup, the new, improved federal government Fast and Furious II plan, now available along hundreds of miles of ignored and lightly patroled Arizona desert, but rapidly coming to a neighborhood near you.

This is to all of the above that like to critize.
It is easy to sit in your recliner and critize the brave men and women of law enforcement that do their best tp protect us. Since you were not there to see first hand what happened, you should watch who you critize and quite believing everything you read.
You people act like law enforcement have unlimited manpower. If you think your bad enough to do the job then take your badass down there and take care of it!!!
You people kill me with your recliner bullsh*t!!
