The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Office is hosting an open house for the public in downtown Phoenix on Friday to show what services it provides for immigrant applicants.
The open house will be 5-7 p.m. at the office's new facility at 1330 S. 16th St., Phoenix.
Citizenship and Immigration Services is the agency within the Department of Homeland Security responsible for immigration benefits. The Phoenix field office serves Apache, Coconino, Gila, Greenlee, La Paz, Maricopa, Mohave, Navajo, Yavapai and Yuma counties.
"This office is a tremendous asset for our community in Phoenix and surrounding areas in Arizona because now we have one central location for biometrics, interviews and information appointments," USCIS Phoenix District Director John Kramar said in a statement.
